This table had been abused more by neglect than by violence, it had been left in the sun which had bleached it and cracked the polish, it had also had vases left on it which had probably been filled in situ' as there were several bad water stains on the table top.

| There was also some physical damage to the table the top had started to cup and pull away from the stabiliser that it was screwed to. There were also evidence of previous repairs that were not well disguised either by being fluch or even by being coloured. |
